Portlands string of sunny days with temps in high 80s continues Thursday [Video]

Portland will see yet another sunny day Thursday with calm winds and high temperatures that reach about 88 degrees.

Average highs for mid July fall at about 83 degrees and the metro area might see some of those average temps early next week.

The National Weather Service says onshore flow will increase overnight and bring in some cool breezes to Portland/Vancouver. Clouds will thicken along the coast and most coastal areas will see highs in the mid 60s to low 70s over the next few days.

Portland will see another sunny day Friday with highs reaching near 90 degrees. The upper level ridge of high pressure will begin to rebuild Friday helping to heat the area up a few more degrees on Saturday.

Current models are showing a 50-70% chance that inland highs reach the mid 90s Saturday. Hood River may push 100 degrees. Portland’s forecasted high is 94.
