Polk County Sheriff’s Office: 1 dead in motorcycle accident [Video]

BONDURANT, Iowa — One person is dead following an off-road motorcycle accident, the Polk County Sheriff’s Office said in a press release. 

Deputies responded to reports of an accident near NE 118th Avenue in Bondurant, just west of the South Skunk River, around 6:20 p.m. Saturday. The caller reported “two juveniles” were riding separate motorcycles when one was involved in an accident.  

When first responders arrived, they located a boy with “critical injuries”. Emergency personnel began life-saving treatment, but the victim was ultimately pronounced dead at the scene. 

The name of the victim has not been released pending family notifications, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office.
