Police station commander change is historic for Troop A [Video]

Feroleto first began her career with the NYS Police in 2002 and since then has risen through the ranks.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The New York State Police announced a momentous promotion to Troop A.

Major Amie P. Feroleto is the first female to be appointed as Troop A Commander in the 107-year history of NYS Police. She becomes the 28th Troop A Commander and brings 22-years of experience to the promotion.

In a press release from the NYS Police, they said “In her new role, Major Feroleto will oversee all State Police patrol and investigative operations across the eight counties of Western New York, managing over 400 sworn and civilian personnel.”

Feroleto first began her career with the NYS Police in 2002 and since then has risen through the ranks which include Uniform Trooper, Station Commander, Lieutenant, and Captain. 

She has served Troops A, B, D, E, H and K demonstrating her wide-range of expertise.
