Phoenix police have begun investigating the case a homicide, they announced Friday night.
PHOENIX — Phoenix police have started a homicide investigation after a 65-year-old man died from injuries sustained during a December fight in central Phoenix.
Lincoln Guest died January 14 at a local hospital, more than two weeks after police responded to reports of a fight near 13th Avenue and Sherman Street.
Officers found Guest with obvious injuries when they arrived at the scene around 4 p.m., on December 30, according to a police press release.
Guest was initially expected to survive his injuries, police said.
The Office of the Medical Examiner ruled Guest’s death a homicide on January 16.
Homicide detectives have taken over the investigation. No additional details have been released.
