Police in the Ozarks say, See something, say something plays vital role for solving crimes [Video]

REPUBLIC, Mo. (KY3) — Law enforcement is among the first to admit they can’t always be everywhere. That is why public input can be helpful when it comes to solving crimes.

“Extremely valuable, like you said, we can’t be everywhere all the time. (In) In lots of cases, we post them on our social media looking for help or trying to identify somebody. We get pretty good success out of that. That’s extremely important. Obviously, we can’t be there everywhere all the time,” says Detective Troy Rogers with the Republic Police Department.

From property crimes to robberies or even abductions and homicides, tips from the public can be a valuable tool when it comes to identification, locating, and even establishing a timeline of events leading up to and after a crime has been committed.
