Mobile police on Friday identified the man whose body was found Thursday on I-65.
The victim was identified as Alphonce Campbell, 52, of Prichard, said Mobile police spokesman Blake Brown.
The investigation into Campbell’s death remained ongoing as of late Friday morning.
Officers responded to the northbound lanes of I-65 between I-10 and Government Boulevard around 12:30 p.m. Thursday on a report of a body found near the median.
Officers found Campbell’s body near the roadway.
