Police activity at Williams Drive apartment complex in Marietta [Video]

MARIETTA, Ga. — A homicide investigation is currently underway at a Marietta apartment complex on Williams Drive, according to police.

Early Sunday morning, Marietta Police said they received word of a woman stabbed at the complex.

Based on the address given—435 Williams Drive—it looks like the investigation is happening at the Lakeside at Town Center Apartments.

Officers said the victim did not show up for work, so her coworkers drove to check in on her. When they arrived, they found her body on the flood in her apartment.

Police said she had visible cuts and was unresponsive, so the coworkers called 911.

Officers now say the 42-year-old woman was attacked and killed. While her door was closed, it was also unlocked when the friends arrived, police add.
