FORT VALLEY, Ga. — Two people are behind bars for allegedly shooting a sleeping 9-year-old in Fort Valley, according to a press release from the Fort Valley Police Department.
They say the shooting took place on July 12 during the overnight hours at the Lakeview Apartments. According to a police report, it happened at around 1:30 a.m. at the apartments on Edwards Street.
Now, two people — one person from Macon, another from Fort Valley — were arrested and charged in the shooting the police department says.
They say 25-year-old Deshard Postell of Macon was already in custody for an unrelated case. He was charged with terroristic threats on July 23, according to Fort Valley police chief DJ Flores.
