Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday praised the nation’s banking sector after its net profit crossed the mark of 3 lakh crore for the first time. PM took social media platform ‘X’, formally known as Twitter, to share the news. The prime Minister also criticized the previous Congress-led United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government for the burden of NPAs on Banks.
“In a remarkable turnaround in the last 10 years, India’s banking sector net profit crosses Rs 3 lakh crore for the first time,” wrote PM Modi.
In his post, the Prime Minister criticized the previous UPA government for putting banks into heavy NPAs and praised work done by his government in the past 10 years in the banking sector.
