Pima County needs your public input on parks and recreation master plan [Video]

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Pima County Parks and Recreation is asking the community to give input on its master plan.

This is a strategic roadmap to guide the future of parks, facilities, and programs for the next 10-25 years.

“We want to ensure that we’re building the right amenity at the right location for what constituents want,” said Victor Pereira, the director of Pima County Parks and Recreation.

Parks, basketball courts, and splash pads are some facilities available in the county for residents to use.

“Everything we offer truly enriches the lives of our constituents,” said Pereira. “We just want to ensure that we’re building the right amenity at the right location.”

Pereira said every year they determine what amenities and programs will help improve the parks and rec system, but there hasn’t been a comprehensive plan. Now, they are working to change that.
