Phoenix using state grant to improve transportation, stormwater management | Top Stories [Video]

PHOENIX, Ore. – Phoenix is continuing its push for recovery and growth more than four years after the Almeda Fire. The city is using a $3.5 million state grant to construct public parking lots, sidewalks and stormwater treatment systems.

The Planning, Infrastructure and Economic Revitalization (PIER) Program provides a total of over $42 million in grant funding to counties most impacted by the 2020 Labor Day wildfires. Jackson County is receiving 32.9 percent of this funding amid the impacts of the Almeda and South Obenchain fires.
