PhD Research Symposium 2024 | School of Engineering

Join us as we revisit the 2nd PhD Research Symposium from the School of Engineering, held on 22nd October 2024 at Trinity College Dublin. This event brought together some of the brightest minds in engineering to share their innovative research and foster collaboration within our academic community.

The symposium, entirely organised by PhD students, featured cutting-edge presentations across diverse engineering fields, showcasing Trinity’s commitment to advancing research and innovation.

Event Highlights:

Opening Address: Professor Alan O’Connor, Head of the School of Engineering

Keynote Speaker: David Corrigan, Senior Research Scientist at Huawei Ireland

Closing Address: Dr. Linda Doyle, Provost and President of Trinity College Dublin

Throughout the day, participants explored a range of topics, from sustainable materials and biomedical engineering to advancements in wireless networks and energy optimisation. Poster presentations during the lunch session provided additional insights into ongoing research at the School of Engineering.
