TOLEDO, Ohio — A person riding an electric scooter was hospitalized with serious injuries after a driver did not stop at a posted yield sign and struck them Wednesday afternoon, according to the Toledo Police Department.
Police in a press release Wednesday night described the 42-year-old victim’s condition as “stable,” but did not provide further details.
The victim was riding a VEO scooter legally in the road westbound on Bronson Avenue, just south of Central Avenue and near I-280. A driver, 17, was traveling northbound on E Street and struck the victim after failing to yield at a posted yield sign, according to police.
