18-year-old Eddie Davis, a person of interest in the New Year’s Day murder of Clifford Motton, spoke with Beaumont police detectives on Monday, January 13 after they made social media posts looking for him.
After speaking with police, he was arrested for a deadly conduct warrant in an unrelated crime
Beaumont police say they’re still investigating the shooting death of Motton.
54-year-old Motton was riding a bike near St. Helena and Walton street when he was gunned down. Police say Motton was shot multiple times and was found in the road.
He later died at the hospital.
