TOLEDO, Ohio — Police are investigating a homicide after a west Toledo shooting left one dead early Sunday morning.
Officers responded to a call of a person shot around 12:56 a.m. Sunday in the 3700 block of Hazelhurst Avenue, according to a press release from the Toledo Police Department.
At the scene, officers found a victim who had been shot at least once. The victim, identified as 38-year-old Markies Turner, died at the hospital.
Detectives are investigating Turner’s death as murder. An arrest has not been made.
