Toledo police said the unknown victim was found lying in a field on Monday near Castle Boulevard and Maplewood Avenue.
TOLEDO, Ohio — A person was found dead in a field in central Toledo on Monday and police are investigating the death as a homicide.
According to Toledo police, officers were dispatched to Castle Boulevard and Maplewood Avenue just before 2:30 p.m. and found the victim lying in a field.
Police identified the victim in a press release as a white male and did not provide any other identifying features. However, in an updated press release from Toledo police Tuesday morning, authorities identified the victim as 56-year-old Robert Richardson.
