Perry County Commissioners – July 29, 2024 [Video]

The July 29 meeting of the Perry County Commissioners began with Amber Martin, community development project coordinator with SEDA-COG, hosting the final public hearing for 2024 Community Development Block Grants (CDBG). Updates were sought concerning construction and repair projects in New Bloomfield, and various contracts, proposals and agreements were approved.

Martin discussed funding allocations for Duncannon’s Noye Park pedestrian bridge rehabilitation, totaling $71,752.67; Liverpool Municipal Authority well number two chlorine contact tank totaling $71,752.67; and for the Loysville Municipal Authority sewer manhole rehabilitation project totaling $71,752.66. The SEDA-COG administration fee is $43,300. Copies of the resolution to submit the fiscal year 2024 CDBG application, fair housing resolution, and 504 officer resolution were available for review.

Following the public hearing, the commissioners’ moved onto the rest of their agenda. Commissioners announced that there will be no Commissioners’ meeting on Monday, August 5, as the Commissioners would be attending a conference. The …
