OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The period for Omaha organizations to apply for a 2025 Neighborhood Grant opened Friday.
The City of Omaha has been awarding grants to organization in the city since 2014, according to a statement.
“The Neighborhood Grants program encourages innovation and collaboration,” said Mayor Jean Stothert. “We have funded many worthwhile projects that promote safety, community pride and participation in neighborhood activities.”
Organizations can apply for a gran from Mayor Stothert’s website. The deadline to apply is March 3 at 4 p.m.
Prospective organizations must be registered in the City of Omaha Neighborhood Directory.
According to the statement, A review committee will prioritize project proposals from new applicants. The committee will include representatives of the City of Omaha Planning, Public Works, Parks, and Police Departments, Keep Omaha Beautiful, the Omaha Community Foundation, and the Mayor’s Grants team.
Final awards will be approved by Mayor Stothert, and grant recipients will be announced in May.
