Peoria trick-or-treaters brought their scariest costumes, biggest candy bags to City Hall [Video]

PEORIA (25News Now) – Dozens of children and families enjoyed seeing each floor inside there Peoria City Hall with a new look.

The fifth annual City Hallo-ween event is meant for children and families to get a head start on trick-or-treating.

Outside the building, kids got to color a snow plow, while inside, families enjoyed Halloween movies, a cookie-decorating station, and more candy and other giveaways in the mayor and city manager’s offices.

“Every year we’ve kind of amped it up a bit, so I’m excited to see the finished product,” said the Community Development Engagement Manager for Peoria, Kaylee Drea. “I love seeing all the kids come in their costumes. This is a fantastic opportunity to see historic city hall, meet the people who serve the public, and get some candy.”

Drea said leaders from public works, the fire department, finance, and human resources department made appearances as well.
