Peoria Public Library selling vinyls for cheap [Video]

PEORIA (25News Now) – Grab your vintage record players, because 8,000 vinyls will be on sale Saturday.

For just $1 each, enthusiasts can snag vinyls for cheap at the Peoria Public Library’s (PPL) Main Branch from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Volunteers are cleaning the building, looking to get rid of all the records to make space for other collections. The vinyl sale will have all your favorite music, from the classical sounds of Beethoven to R&B hits of groups like New Edition.

“We have names that you’re going to recognize,” said PPL Public Relations Manager Jennifer Davis. “From Joan Baez, Ben Crosby, and Frank Sinatra, we don’t have anything new. That’s why it’s vintage vinyl. We haven’t purchased anything since the late 80s.”

Davis said most of the records have been used, but the volunteers are working to keep them in the best shape for resale.
