People shouldnt have to go through this: Grieving brother speaks after sister murdered trying to break up South Memphis fight [Video]

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A mother of three was taken by gun violence on Thursday after a fight in South Memphis led to gunfire.

Three others were wounded by bullets, including an 11-year-old.

You may have seen videos of the incident on Quinn Avenue circulating on social media.

It is heartbreaking to report on things like this in the community that was instrumental in raising me.

I graduated from Hamilton Middle, just a few blocks from where this happened. I met the victim’s brother at the funeral home that’s taking care of his sister’s remains.

He says his sister’s untimely death is senseless.

Jimmy Burchett, Tamara Plummer’s brother, says, “Everybody love her, she’s a lovable person.”

Plummer was the woman shot and killed Thursday on Quinn Avenue near Pillow Street.

Her unfortunate death was caught on camera.

“What was it like seeing that video?” we asked her brother.

“I don’t know how I am going to deal with that for the rest of my life. …
