MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – Local experts, community advocates, and breast cancer survivors in Pensacola are asking the public to join them for a special gathering in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine is planning a special breast cancer rally on October 19th that the Cordova Mall in Pensacola for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Led by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a health advocacy nonprofit of 17,000 doctors, the free events will raise awareness of strategies that can help thwart breast cancer. They will feature performances by local marching bands, testimonials from those impacted by breast cancer and plant-based food samples.
According to a just-released Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine/Morning Consult survey, only 28% of U.S. women are aware that a healthful diet can lower the risk of developing breast cancer.
