YORK, Pa. (WHTM) — Penn State York says “hateful language has no place in our community’ after a video appearing to show a racist rant was posted to social media.
The video published on X by a newly created account “YorkpaRacist” claims to show an individual associated with the university repeatedly yelling the N-word and saying “I am a racist” during a confrontation.
“This hateful language has no place in our community and is not reflective of the University’s values or our desire to foster an inclusive environment,” said Penn State York. “The appropriate offices at Penn State have been notified and we are looking into this matter with urgency.”
The video has been viewed by thousands on social media.
