PENDER COUNTY, N.C. (WECT) – The Pender County government is holding a meeting for locals to hear directly from leaders about the future of the community.
The board of commissioners has scheduled the 2025 State of the County Meeting to establish the updates and initiatives from local government, educational institutions, and community leaders.
Featured speakers include the following:
- Erin Easton, the interim executive director of economic and workforce Development at Cape Fear Community College
- Pender County Schools Superintendent Brad Breedlove
- Burgaw’s Mayor Olivia Dawson
- Surf City’s Mayor Teresa Batts
- Topsail Beach’s Mayor Morton Blanchard
- Pender Education Partnership President Tammie Parris
The meeting will be held at the Hampstead Annex at 15060 US-17 on Monday, Feb. 10 at 5:30 p.m. Anyone unable to attend in person can access the online livestream.
