Paws & planes: the furry helpers bringing smiles to Huntsville International Airport | News [Video]

Everyone knows air travel can be stressful, but Huntsville International Airport now offers a service to help make your airport experience more enjoyable!

Next time you’re here at Huntsville International Airport, you may see some furry friends walking around your concourse! These pets, one a poodle and the other a cavapoo, are part of an emotional support program, and they are sure to put a smile on your face!

Both dogs are part of a non-profit organization called Therapy Partners. They certify multiple species to become therapy animals in places like airports.

Huntsville International Airport said this comes at the request of travelers.

Public relations specialist at Huntsville International, Talyn Walton, said, “We had seen where other airports have therapy partners and different animals throughout the airport, as well as the community had expressed needs of wanting to see them in our airport.”
