Patrick Dempsey Set to Team Up with Christian Slater in ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ [Video]

Patrick Dempsey is joining the Dexter franchise!

The Grey’s Anatomy alum, 58, has signed on to be a full-time cast member on Showtime’s new series Dexter: Original Sin. He will play the Miami Metro Homicide Captain Aaron Spencer, “who has a decades-long relationship with Harry Morgan (Christian Slater),” according to the press release.

“Patrick Dempsey is a beloved actor who is internationally known for the iconic characters he has played and his performances,” stated Chris McCarthy, Paramount Global Co-CEO and President/CEO, Showtime & MTV Entertainment Studios. “We are thrilled to have him join our all-star cast of Dexter: Original Sin, the highly anticipated origin story of the franchise.”
