Partnership allows annual toy drive to continue [Video]

The Idaho Foodbank provided warehouse space to the Salvation Army for its annual toy drive. It aims to provide 2000 Boise area children with toys.

BOISE, Idaho — As the holiday season is in full swing, two local organizations are aiming to provide thousands of toys to children with an annual toy drive.   

On Thursday, the Idaho Foodbank and the Salvation Army Boise Corps announced a partnership for the Salvation Army’s Toy and Joy Christmas Distribution. The program provides toys to struggling families.

“This collaborative effort will allow The Salvation Army to store, sort, and distribute toys for approximately 2,000 children in the Boise area,” organizers wrote in a news release.

The Idaho Foodbank provided warehouse space to the Salvation Army, which said it comes at a crucial time “as holiday demands grow and available storage space has become increasingly limited.”
