Once again, eyes will be on Katie Ledecky as the most successful female swimmer in history. Ariarne Titmus won gold in the 400m freestyle for Australia in Tokyo and Canadian teenager Summer McIntosh is also aiming for victory in what should be an enthralling event.
As for home favourites, France will be backing multiple world champion Leon Marchand to the hilt.
