Parents of Apalachee High School students feel their concerns are being ignored [Video]

WINDER, Ga. — A 14-year-old student was arrested at Apalachee High School on Wednesday after bringing a gun to school.

The Barrow County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest but noted that there were no reports of the student threatening anyone with the weapon. In response to the incident, school officials announced that classes at Apalachee High will be canceled tomorrow, along with all on-campus extracurricular activities.

This development has raised concerns about safety among students, parents, and the broader community, particularly in the wake of a tragic shooting incident in September that resulted in the deaths of two students and two teachers.
