LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Nations from around the world were celebrated during a parade in downtown Louisville on Saturday.

Parade of Nations at WorldFest moved through downtown as part of the annual festival. WorldFest is a four-day celebration of cultures and communities that make up Louisville.

There were over 1,000 participants in the parade that started around noon. It was free to attend and open to all ages.

Artem Koronkevitch represented Belarus in the parade. He has participated in the event since 2017.

“We’re proud to be from Belarus, we’re proud of our past, we introduced it to our kids,” Koronkevitch said. “This is a great event, absolutely proud to be here. I’m glad everyone has joined us. Good to see everyone else here.”

Louisville’s Sister Cities were represented this year as participants wore traditional clothing, waved flags and had fun in downtown.
