Oxford community unites to support flood victims [Video]

OXFORD, CT (WFSB) – The Oxford community is rallying together to support those who have lost their homes and cherished memories following Sunday’s devastating floods.

The recovery process, which includes rebuilding homes, businesses, and infrastructure, will take time.

In the meantime, the community’s response has been both swift and heartfelt, demonstrating Oxford’s resilience.

Floodwaters that ravaged the town on Sunday caused significant damage, washing away bridges, roads, and homes.

In response, local community members and organizations have stepped up to provide immediate relief.

David Morgan, President and CEO of Team Incorporated, a non-profit serving the lower Naugatuck Valley, emphasized the collective effort, “When this devastation came crashing down on Oxford, Seymour, Beacon Falls and beyond this is what we intuitively do in responding to the call to action to help our fellow neighbors.”
