The ramp connecting southbound Interstate 680 with westbound Interstate 80 in southwest Omaha will be closed the next two nights for construction work, the Nebraska Department of Transportation announced Tuesday.
The closure will take place from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 5 a.m. Thursday and from 9 p.m. Thursday to 5 a.m. Friday, according to a Transportation Department press release. Motorists are advised to use the I-L-Q Street exit ramp as a bypass.
During the road closures, workers will seal joints on the highway bridge that spans the Union Pacific railroad tracks.
There will be more to come in the area next month. Overnight lane closures are planned for five nights on the I-L-Q Street exit ramps at the interchange the week of Nov. 18, said Barbara Gerbino-Bevins, district traffic engineer.
