Organizers missed the Dec. 31 deadline to announce the lineup and ticket sales and plan to ask Virginia Beach City Council for another deadline extension.
VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. — Rosa Fernandez didn’t grow up a music festival lover.
That changed in 2019, when she attended the first ever Something in the Water music festival at the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.
“That festival is what kicked off me planning vacations around other festivals,” Fernandez told 13News Now.
Since 2019, she’s been to every iteration of the festival, including the 2022 event in Washington D.C. and the return to Virginia Beach in 2023.
But even the most loyal of Something in the Water fans told 13News Now their frustrations are growing, leading to concerns about the festival’s future.
“A lot of people spend their hard earned money for this festival, and we feel our emotions are being toyed with,” she added.
