OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – An Oshkosh Area School Board meeting from August 14 has been viewed more than 600 times online after the board took up a report about updating the district’s Title IX regulations.
Title IX prohibits sex-based discrimination in any school or any other education program that receives funding from the federal government. Up to now, the board has been split evenly on adopting amendments to its policy.
“I know we have a legal and a moral obligation to educate all kids and I know on this agenda we also have an upcoming report on safety. I consider this to be a safety issue,” said Dr. Barbara Herzog, a clerk with the Oshkosh Area School District Board of Education.
