Oshkosh area school district decreasing tax levy by 5.05% [Video]

OSHKOSH, Wis. (WBAY) – The Oshkosh Area School District is providing some much-needed relief to the community by decreasing its school tax levy by 5.05% compared to last year.

The roughly $3.5 million decrease means those who pay a local property tax for the school could see a decrease in their property tax bill.

“We want to make sure that we are responsive to taxpayers, and being fiscally responsible is one of our missions, making sure we are creating that stability for our local property taxpayers. Also making sure that we contain the educational excellence within our program,” said Oshkosh Area School District Superintendent Dr. Bryan Davis.

Despite the decrease, the school says it is still able to provide the same quality of education for students.
