OROVILLE, Calif. – Oroville residents could soon have an easier way to report non-emergency issues to the city, thanks to a proposed new mobile app. The Oroville City Council is exploring the possibility of launching a system designed to streamline communication between residents and city officials.
A New System for Better Communication
The proposed app is part of a larger effort to improve communication and responsiveness within the city. City officials hope the app will help residents quickly report issues like potholes, graffiti, and other public works concerns, and track the progress of those requests in real-time.
Council Member Shawn Webber, who helped introduce the idea, describes the system as a “push-pull notification” service. Through the app, residents can submit their reports and receive updates on the status of their concerns.
