BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – A systemwide celebration was held Tuesday, Oct. 1, as Brookwood Baptist Health becomes part of the healthcare organization Orlando Health.
Several employees and staff members at all Baptist Health locations had a chance to meet and interact with the new leadership.
Brookwood Baptist Health, previously owned by Tenet Health, has now been assumed by Orlando Health.
No immediate changes will take place, but in the coming weeks, healthcare leaders will begin listening to the community, employees and physicians to develop plans that will make a positive impact.
As far as long-term impacts, health leaders say their goal is to be a great place to work for employees and physicians and to elevate care for patients.
This move comes after Orlando Health leaders wanting to expand and grow outside the state of Florida and this opportunity met all of their aspirations.
