Oregon Humane Society hosting adoption event in Portland, Salem [Video]

PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – The Oregon Humane Society is hosting an adoption promotion over the weekend with a reduced adoption fee of $10 to highlight pets waiting for their forever home for more than 10 days.

The adoption promotion will take place at OHS’ Portland and Salem campuses and at a Petco in south Salem on Saturday.

Wheels of all kinds will take to the Tom McCall Waterfront over the weekend to raise awareness and fundraising for breast cancer.

“We think these pets are a 10 out of 10 when it comes to cuteness and lovability,” said Laura Klink, OHS Public Information Manager. “And we want this to be the weekend that they find the loving home they have been waiting for.”

According to Laura, now is a great time to adopt and help a shelter pet begin a new chapter in their lives.
