SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Operation Rolling Hope is rolling out a new initiative designed to offer essential services to the unhoused across the Concho Valley.
Also known as Skoolies for Veterans and founded by Kelly Self, the program aims to provide a mobile solution to those in need by offering showers, rest, and food by converting school buses into mobile homes for veterans.
“I can’t have this if I can’t do it for somebody else,” said Self from inside a converted bus, which now serves as a mobile facility.
To expand outreach, Operation Rolling Hope has launched a GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for a new bus. Self emphasized that there are no requirements for receiving aid and aims to assist as many people as possible.
