‘Operation Claus’ brings holiday cheer to Hanover-area families [Video]

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Operation Claus, an all-volunteer group that works with the Hanover Public School District and South Western School District to help local families in need during the Christmas holiday season, completed their annual gift delivery on Sunday morning, the group said in a press release.

Each year, Operation Claus’ families are selected by the guidance counselors of both school districts, who know the families the best, to provide a Christmas to families who might not have one otherwise.  

Each family member provides clothing sizes and a want for the year, generating shopping lists for the program’s volunteers, who budget from donations and shop for each family.
