This is the fourth year of the insurance marketplace, which helps Mainers find access to health and dental insurance.
MAINE, USA — Mainers who don’t have access to dental or health insurance through an employer, Medicare, or the state’s Medicaid plan will be able to enroll in coverage through CoverME.gov soon.
Open enrollment for the program begins Friday, Nov. 1, according to a press release from the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). This year will be the fourth annual open enrollment period of the program.
Plans offered through CoverME.gov provide insurance that protects consumers if they have an accident or major illness and fully pays for preventative screens, according to the DHHS. The program offers individual or family health plans from Anthem, Community Health Options, Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, and Taro Health. It also offers dental plans from Anthem and Northeast Delta Dental.
