In just one week, the Vermont legislature will start a new session in Montpelier.Affordability is likely the top issue you’ll hear about this session.Property taxes are the highest. In December, the Vermont Department of Taxes released the annual education tax rate letter showing a statewide average increase of nearly 6%. That brings the total over the last three years to a 33% increase.
