One dead in Suffolk shooting Monday afternoon [Video]

SUFFOLK, Va. — Suffolk Police are investigating a homicide that happened Monday afternoon.

The call came in at about 2 p.m., according to a press release from the City of Suffolk. The shooting happened in the 6100 block of Old Townpoint Road.

Officers found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest, officials said. Suffolk Fire & Rescue responded and transported him to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
