MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A person was killed in a shooting by Olive Branch Police officers Monday morning, according to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety.
Olive Branch Police say around 9:30, officers were serving a search warrant for two counts of child pornography possession to a person who had recently moved from out of state to 9142 Railroad Avenue.
“While attempting to serve the warrant, the suspect opened fire on the officers and the officers returned fire,” police said in a news release.
The suspect is dead. The officers were not injured, police said.

“I’m really shocked,” a resident said.
