HAMPTON, Va. (WAVY) — Hampton police are investigating an overnight homicide.
Around 1:30 a.m. Saturday, officers heard multiple gunshots while they were patrolling the 8500 block of Orcutt Avenue. Officers proceeded to the area of the gunshots and found a man in the road.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. At this time, the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting are unknown, according to police.
