OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – The Omaha firefighters’ union discussed an injury sustained by a firefighter while battling a house fire earlier this week.
In a social media post Friday, IAFF No. L385 talked about the injury sustained by a firefighter at the fire, and how it can be prevented.
According to the post, the firefighter was injured while in the process of bringing a hose to a fire hydrant when a car drove over the hose. The car then ripped the hose from the hand of the firefighter, injuring them.
In light of this event, the union urges Omaha drivers to never drive over hoses, even if they are not in use.
