KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — An Old City bar and restaurant is uplifting the homeless community through a December donation drive. Throughout the month, Barley’s said it would collect donations of coats, jackets, blankets, gloves and hats to be given to a nonprofit that supports homeless people.
The donation drive culminates in a Dec. 29 fundraiser concert — Capricornucopia. It’s all a way to support CareCuts of Knoxville, a nonprofit that provides meals, clothing, transportation, identification, housing, rehabilitation referrals and job resources for the city’s homeless community.
