According to the Morristown government, the overdose deaths happened in January 2024.
MORRISTOWN, Tenn. — A Jefferson County woman is facing charges in connection to a string of overdose deaths in January 2024 in Morristown and Hamblen County, according to a press release from the city of Morristown.
Ashlyn Henry was indicted by a federal grand jury and is charged with conspiracy to distribute cocaine and fentanyl, three counts of distribution of fentanyl resulting in death and two counts of distribution of fentanyl resulting in serious bodily injury.
The 24-year-old was arrested after several months of investigation by the Morristown Police Department, the Hamblen County Sheriff’s Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
The White Pine Police Department also assisted in Henry’s arrest Monday morning.
