NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — At the corner of Leon C. Simon Drive and SUNO Knight Drive, along the underpass wall, sits the “An Ode to Pontchartrain Park” mural.
Officials with The Gentilly Development District unveiled the new art on Wednesday, Sept. 4 near the campus of Southern University at New Orleans.
The mural was painted by local artist and musician, Nesby Phips, through the partnership of The Water Collaborative of Greater New Orleans, SUNO and the New Orleans Art Department.
