Oakland County sheriffs deputy ‘ambushed’ and killed in line of duty [Video]

(WXYZ) — The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office says a deputy has been killed in the line of duty.

The sheriff’s office held a press conference Sunday afternoon to provide information about the incident. The news conference was held at the sheriff’s office in Pontiac.

At that time, sheriff Mike Bouchard explained that deputy Bradley Reckling was “ambushed” by three men with guns who jumped out of a stolen car that he was following. Bouchard said Reckling was shot in the head, chest and torso.

Reckling leaves behind a wife, three children and another child on the way.

Bouchard said all three shooting suspects are now in custody.
